(April) Diamonds Are Forever
Those born within the fourth calendar month have everybody’s best friend (not just girls’!) as their birthstone ~ diamonds.
Giving diamonds as a gift to those born in April holds significant meaning deeply rooted in tradition and symbolism. Diamonds, as April's birthstone, symbolise strength, durability, and everlasting love. They represent clarity, purity, and resilience, embodying the qualities associated with those born in this month. Presenting diamonds as a gift not only celebrates the individual's birth month but also serves as a token of admiration, affection, and appreciation.

The Tale of Diamonds
The history of diamonds has been billions of years in the making. Derived from the Greek word ‘adamas’, meaning unconquerable or invincible, its diamonds’ story is one of mystical power, spirit, wealth and beauty.
First associated with love when Cupid, the God of Love and Desire, carried arrows, tipped with sparkling natural diamonds. Mythology imagined diamonds as fragments of the gods and broken splinters from fallen stars, stories rich in wonder that affected the heavens and the hearts.
Fine jewellery crafted by artisans the world over capture the moments in time that define a person, a relationship, a family, and a generation. They are history in jewels, heirlooms passed on through the years, to be loved and cherished.
Today, diamonds continue to hold our fascination - celebrated in pop culture, through music in “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds”, through cinema in “Breakfast At Tiffany’s” and through marketing in the De Beers’, “A Diamond is Forever” ad campaign, the exquisiteness and prestige of a diamond is unmatched - it is the preeminent gemstone.
As you chase your forever, when the time is right, when you have found ‘the one’, the answer is more often than not a diamond.
Did you Know?
Diamonds were formed long before dinosaurs roamed the Earth, and some are even older than the stars. The youngest diamond is nearly a billion years old.
The 4 Qualities of a Diamond
Diamond professionals use the grading system developed by GIA in the 1950s, which established the use of four important factors to describe and classify diamonds - Clarity, Colour, Cut, and Carat Weight. This quintessential quartet of qualities, aptly coined as the 4Cs, not only serves as a compass for discerning quality but also encapsulates the essence of diamond elegance and enchantment.
